How to Get Clients for Mortgage Brokers With Content

Getting clients with content illustration for mortgage brokers, a Pixel Samy Studio blog cover graphic

Most brokers ask me the same question in slightly different words, basically they want to know how to get clients for mortgage brokers with content without it turning into a full-time second job that pays nothing, and I love that question because it gets straight to the part everyone skips, which is that content does not magically produce clients, a journey produces clients, and content is just what carries somebody along that journey from a complete stranger who has never heard your name to a borrower who calls you already trusting you with the biggest loan they will ever sign for, so before we talk about what to post, we have to be really really clear about that journey, because if you do not understand it you will keep making content that gets likes and never gets calls.

Here is the journey in plain terms, right, a stranger is scrolling, vaguely thinking about buying in the next six months, scared, confused, and pretty sure all brokers are basically the same, and your job across the next few months is to move them from "who is this" to "oh this person actually explains things clearly" to "I trust this person enough to hand them my situation," and each of those stages needs a different kind of content, which is exactly why one-off posting never converts, because a single post can only ever do one part of that job.

How to get clients for mortgage brokers with content, the actual mechanism

The catch here is that everyone obsesses over reach, the views, the followers, the vanity numbers, when the thing that actually gets clients for mortgage brokers with content is the depth of trust you build with the small slice of viewers who are genuinely in-market, because honestly you do not need a million views, you need the forty people in your area who are buying this year to feel like they already know you, and that means your content has to do three distinct jobs, not one.

Reach gets a stranger to notice you, but it is the trust content that makes them choose you over the broker their bank assigned, and most brokers only ever make the first kind.

So the three jobs your content has to do are, that is one the discovery job, the short clip that answers a specific fear ("will applying hurt my credit score," "how much do I really need saved," and so on) and catches the stranger mid-scroll, secondly the trust job, the longer piece where you walk somebody all the way through the process so calmly that they exhale and think you have got this handled, and thirdly the conversion job, the content that quietly says "here is who I help and here is what working with me looks like" so that when they are finally ready, reaching out feels like the obvious next step rather than a leap.

The assets that actually move borrowers, stage by stage

Let me be specific instead of hand-wavy, because the difference between content that gets clients and content that gets ignored is almost always in the matching of the asset to the stage:

  • Discovery stage, short-form clips that each kill one borrower fear, posted to Reels and Shorts where cold strangers find you, kept to a single clear idea so it spreads
  • Trust stage, a flagship long-form piece like "the complete first-time buyer journey from pre-approval to keys," the thing somebody watches at 11pm when they are anxious and it makes them decide you are the one
  • Trust stage also, carousels and written posts that go deep on the questions a borrower is too embarrassed to ask anyone in person
  • Conversion stage, the occasional clear, no-pressure piece on how you actually work, who you are great for, and what the first call covers, so the path to booking is obvious
  • Proof woven throughout, the real deal stories of files you saved, because a borrower trusts "here is exactly how I got this self-employed client approved" far more than any claim about being the best

And the reason brokers struggle to convert is almost always that they make a pile of discovery clips and zero trust and conversion content, so strangers notice them and then have nowhere to go, the relationship has no depth to grow into, you see what I mean here.

Cold lead versus content-warmed lead

Cold lead from a rate site Lead warmed by your content
Shopping you against four brokers on rate alone Already chose you, barely asks about competitors
Skeptical, guarded, treats you as interchangeable Feels like they know you, shows up relaxed
Long, defensive sales conversation Short call that is mostly logistics, not convincing
Often ghosts or haggles you down Closes faster and respects your value

How the flywheel turns content into clients

So here is how I actually build this so it converts instead of just collecting likes, and the whole thing is designed so the only real demand on your time is one block a month:

  1. We run one focused recording session a month with you, and we deliberately capture all three layers in that block, the fear-killing discovery answers, the deep calming trust walkthroughs, and the clear conversion pieces, so the full journey is covered from one sitting
  2. From that single session we pull 30+ platform-native assets, mapped across the stages so there is always a next step for a viewer to take
  3. We distribute across Reels, Shorts, YouTube and the platforms your borrowers already use, posted on a real cadence so a stranger keeps seeing you and slides naturally from noticing to trusting
  4. The content does the trust-building before the sales conversation, so by the time someone books, they have watched you handle their exact worry three times and they arrive warm, pre-sold, and ready, which is what actually getting clients with content means

Alex Hormozi talks about giving away so much value that the sale feels obvious, that is precisely this, you teach a borrower so thoroughly through the scary parts that choosing you stops being a decision and starts being a relief.

Why this is the gap, and what I would build

To be very honest, the reason this works is that almost every broker in your market is missing one of the three layers, they are either invisible or they are pumping out discovery clips with nothing behind them, so there is no trust content to catch the stranger they reached and no conversion content to close the loop, and that broken journey is exactly the gap I close, because I run a personal branding agency, a video operation and a couple of other businesses, so I build journeys that convert, not feeds that decorate.

What I would build for you is the whole engine wired around your real pipeline, one calm recording day a month, the 30-plus assets cut and mapped to discovery, trust and conversion, distributed on a cadence that compounds, so you stay in your zone of genius funding deals while the content does the warming-up and the right borrowers arrive already sold on you. If you want to see how that maps onto your market, come Book a Demo at /boutique-agency/contact and I will walk you through the first 60 to 90 days.

So yeah. That's my way of saying it.

The content flywheel we run for you
1One shoot a monthA single focused recording session is the only real ask on your calendar.
230+ assetsWe pull a month of platform-native pieces from that one block of time.
3Distribute everywherePosted on cadence across the platforms your buyer already lives on.
4Leads come warmed upThe content does the trust-building, so the right people arrive ready.
