We invest the way we wish we'd been invested in
Samy Ventures started with a simple frustration: the best creator-led companies were being passed on by funds that didn't understand distribution, and rushed by funds that didn't understand the craft. We built the fund we needed when we were on the other side of the table.
The audience came first. The capital should follow.
A generation of operators learned to reach people before they ever learned to raise money. They built trust, taste, and a real channel, and then hit a wall when it was time to turn that into a company. That gap is our entire reason for being.
We write the first check, sit beside the founder through the messy middle, and bring the distribution playbook we wrote running our own products. We are not tourists in the creator economy. We live here.
By the numbers
- First check in over 30 creator-led companies
- Median time from deck to decision: 6 days
- Reserves to follow on into the rounds that work
- Distribution support, not just a wire
Four principles we don't bend on
Conviction over consensus
We would rather be early and alone than late and crowded. If the thesis is right, the comps will catch up.
Founder time is sacred
No homework rounds, no twelve-partner gauntlets. One real conversation, then a decision you can plan around.
Clean, founder-friendly terms
Standard instruments, no surprises in the docs, and a cap table you will still be proud of at Series B.
Useful, then quiet
We open doors, make intros, and stress-test the plan, then get out of the way until you ask again.
