The AI work, and the firm that ships it
Cognivaa is the software and IT engineering firm behind that work. Two offices, Kolkata and Dubai, 300 plus clients, and a plain promise on the door: simply exceptional software engineering. We build AI agents, internal tools, and automation pipelines for companies that need software to actually run, not to demo well. The same tooling runs my own studio every day.
Cognivaa
Cognivaa is a B2B software and IT engineering firm with offices in Kolkata and Dubai. The tagline is simply exceptional software engineering, and it is a standard rather than a slogan. More than 300 clients have shipped work through it. Alongside the core engineering practice, Cognivaa builds AI agents and internal tools for businesses that want automation inside their own operation.
Internal agents
These are the agents we run inside our own operation. Each one is scoped to a job somebody used to do by hand, and it stays only if it keeps doing that job without supervision. They are not products with landing pages and pricing tiers. They are working parts of how the studio and the engineering team get through a week.
Automation pipelines
Most of the time saved is not saved by a clever model. It is saved by work moving between systems on its own. We build pipelines that carry briefs, assets, approvals, and reporting from one tool to the next without a person acting as the connector. It is quiet infrastructure, and it is usually the part that makes the AI on top of it useful.
How we actually build it
Samy Labs is where the engineering side of what I do lives. The centre of it is Cognivaa, a B2B software and IT engineering firm with offices in Kolkata and Dubai and more than 300 clients. Cognivaa builds AI agents and internal tools for businesses, and it has been doing normal, unglamorous software engineering long enough to know the difference between a model that impresses in a demo and a system that survives a Monday.
Find the repeated hour
We look for the task somebody does every week and quietly resents. That hour is the brief. If we cannot point at one, we do not start building.
Build the boring version
First pass is a plumbing job. Move the data, connect the systems, remove the copy and paste. Most of the value shows up here, before any model is involved.
Add the model where it earns it
AI goes in at the specific step where judgement or language is the bottleneck. Everywhere else, ordinary code is cheaper, faster, and easier to trust.
Run it on ourselves, then ship
It runs inside our own operation until it survives a normal messy week. Only then does it go to a client, with the failure modes already known.
Applied AI, not AI theatre
Got a process that should not still be manual?
Tell me the task your team repeats every week. If an agent or a pipeline can take it off their hands, Cognivaa can build it. If it cannot, I will say so instead of selling you a demo.
Rolling, we take on a small number at a time.
